During both lunches on March 1st and 2nd the Unified coaches and athletes will be in the east atrium supporting the Special Olympics 2017 R-word campaign. Recognizing that language choices frame how we think about others, we hope you will take the pledge with us and support the elimination of the derogatory use of the r-word (retarded) from everyday speech and promote the acceptance and inclusion of people with disabilities. We will have a giant poster to sign, bracelets, stickers, and t-shirts ($5) to hand out.
Dear LHS Parents/Guardians,
LHS is currently sponsoring a book drive called the Celebrate Seuss Book Drive. The book drive has been coordinated by a LHS student.
The drive began on Thursday February 2nd and will go until Wednesday March 1st. On Thursday March 2nd, the student will be delivering all the books collected during the one month span and donate them to Children's Hospital in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday.
We are looking for new books for levels Preschool to Young Adult. Students can bring the books to the donation bins located in the school.
For more information, email email@example.com
We greatly appreciate all donations and hope to bring joy to all of the kids currently at Children's Hospital.
