IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A LAKEWOOD TIGER!
Dear Lakewood Students,
The LHS community will be starting a shoe drive starting tomorrow, Nov. 4. Help the Jeffco Action Center fight to eliminate poverty by donating your unwanted shoes! From November 4-November 14, Lakewood will be collecting shoes--new, used, any kind, any size. Sturdy shoes and boots are especially helpful in the winter months.
**PLEASE Tie pairs of shoes together with their laces, or rubber-band them together before donating!!** Collection boxes will be at both school entrances and by the main office.
*300 Million children in the world do not own even one pair of shoes
*1.8 Billion people worldwide do not own a pair of shoes
*Going without shoes can lead to parasitic diseases.
Hopefully this will be a very successful endeavor for the LHS community.
