Seniors who would like to order a 2017 class photo can either get the order form through their Tiger Time teacher, in the main office, or print out a form on the website. All forms and monies are due to Mrs. Boonstra in the Finance Office by Friday, October 7, 2016. Please see the samples in the main office or on the website-these photos are REALLY nice and the class of 2017 did a great job!!
The senior graduation contract is a requirement in order to get your senior’s 2017 Lakewood High School diploma, and should be completed as soon as possible. Please fill out the contract on the school website. Respondents must have a google account and be logged in to complete the form.
Attention Class of 2017:
On Tuesday, October 6 during Tiger Time, there will be a senior class meeting with Jostens staff for the Lakewood High School 2017 graduation ceremony. Order forms for caps and gowns and graduation announcements will be available for all seniors at that meeting. Orders will then be taken the following week on October 13 during the day and at Parent/Teacher conferences.
Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Golf Team for their third place finish at the 5A State Championship this week in Grand Junction. This is the third consecutive year the team has finished as a top three team in the state. Senior Griffin Barela tied for fourth place among the individual golfers, with a par score for the two-day tournament. Besides Barela, the foursome included Seniors Grayden Wolfe and Max Camp-Oberhauser, and Junior Jack Castiglia. We are proud of you boys and Coach Alan Gonzales!
Boys Varsity Soccer is having a great season with an 8-1 record thus far, and JV is at 7-2. Varsity faces Ralston Valley tonight at 5 pm at the NAAC stadium in Arvada. Come out and cheer them on!
Tomorrow, Varsity Softball plays at Pomona at 10 am, while the Gymnastics team is hosting its annual "Think Pink" meet with 12 teams competing at Lakewood. Come out and watch the girls starting at 9:45 Saturday morning.
Attention Skiers! The Jeffco Ski team is having an informational meeting about the upcoming season on Oct. 11 at 6 pm. There is an alpine/downhill team, as well as nordic/cross country team, too.See Mrs. DeVito in the Main Office for more details.
The Girls Tennis team is continuing to meet on Wednesday afternoons at 3:30 at Lakewood Park for off-season practices. All levels of players are welcome.
Registration for Winter Sports will open October 10th online, and the first day of tryouts and practices is November 11th. In the meantime, if you plan to play boys or girls basketball, girls swimming, wrestling, ice hockey or the ski team, make sure you have a current physical that was completed within the past 12 months.
Athletes! Listen up. If your sport has a 2:15 release time, you are expected to attend class and leave at 2:15 pm. If you choose to not attend at all, that will be marked as an unexcused absence and your coach will be informed of your poor decision.Thank you.
To get into the Halloween spirit, Film club will be showing the Blair Witch Project on October 10 at 3:20 in room A202. Anyone is welcome but permission slips (located outside of A202) must be completed to attend. Now Tigertv with more:
Swing Club would like to finally give you a reason to get jazzed about Mondays. Unwind after school and swing your stress away with them every monday at 3:15 in room A 209. All levels of experience (or lack thereof) are welcome.
