Students! If you park in the student parking lot, please remember to move your cars from the south side of the parking lot Every Monday and Wednesday afternoon. The Bengal Regiment Marching band rehearses from 4-7 and needs your help to have a clear parking lot. Athletes, please make sure to move your car before practices or before you leave for a game or meet. Cars need to be moved by 3:45 PM. Thank you!
Calling all Junior and Seniors interested in being Outdoor Lab Leaders this year! The two mandatory information sessions will be on Thursday, September 8 in the Lecture Center. You must attend either the 7:30am or 3:30pm session to be considered (even if you have been a leader in the past). See Mrs.Yantorni in the Counseling Office if you have any questions or concerns.
Are you in a car club and/or do you know anybody who restores old vehicles? Lakewood HS will be having our 2nd annual car show on Homecoming, which will be Friday, September 23rd. Juniors and Sophomores, tickets are selling quickly for the upcoming "Admissions Game" presentation that you won't want to miss! Peter Van Buskirk, a former Dean of Admissions at Franklin & Marshall College, provides an insider's perspective on the thought process of highly selective, competitive colleges, and gives you strategies on how to set yourself up for the best chances to get into them. The date is September 20th, from 630PM- 830PM in the auditorium. Tickets can be purchased for 10 dollars each with a limit of 3 per family, but don't delay; they are just about sold out, and you won't want to miss this engaging, entertaining, and highly informative presentation! Girls Tennis Players: If you are interested in playing tennis this spring, the team is hosting Fall Drop In Session starting Wednesday, August 31st at Lakewood Park located at Alameda and Kipling. This is a voluntary program that includes all levels of play. Come out and sharpen your game or learn a new sport. Start time is 3:30 to 5pm. For more information see Mrs. DeVito
If you purchased an Athletic Pass but are missing the "Athletic" wording on your ID badge, stop by Mrs. Boonstra's office and get a sticker. If you purchased a pass, and don't yet have an ID badge, bring your receipt to the games. On Tuesday we have our home opener for Volleyball and next Friday, our first home football game and these events cost $4 for students if you don't have a pass.
